Westovian Theatre
This 287 seat historic theatre, located on South Shields Seafront, first started life as a theatre in 1948.
Inside it's a visual delight full of character, with plush red 1930s style tip-up seats laid out between original old cast iron columns and fretted iron arch sprandrels.
It's home to the Westovian Theatre Society, who are one of South Tyneside's leading amateur theatre groups and produce a variety of senior and junior productions each year.
They host everything from comedies and farce to dramas and mysteries. Their annual pantomime in January is a firm favourite!
