About this course
This session is designed to give practitioners an overview of the law relating to knife and weapon crime and introduce the South Tyneside Knife Crime Protocol.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course delegates will understand:
- How to help participants understand what the law is in relation to carrying knives.
- The risks associated with carrying a knife, bladed article or weapon and how these are defined
- How to use the South Tyneside Protocol to help educate multi-agency professionals and young people in South Tyneside, about the risks and dangers of carrying knives and weapons.
