Join us for a summer of fun and games here at Jarrow Hall. Meet out hairy pigs and cheeky goats in our rare breed farm. Step back in time in our Anglo-Saxon village. Explore our museum and find out what life was like in a 7th Century Monastery.  

Summer event programme:

24 July- 6 August 

Did you know the Anglo -Saxons enjoyed board games? Try your hand at Nine Men's Morris, Hnefatafle and knuckle bones. Can you beat the volunteers? 

7- 20 August 

The Venerable Bede was a Monk, a historian and a scientist. Find out about his love of science and make your own sundial. 

21 August- 7 September 

For the Anglo-Saxons, late summer was a time of harvest and celebration. Join volunteers to make Harvest crafts, make a sleep potion bag in the herb garden and a corn dolly in the village.  

28- 29 August 

Ever wondered what life was like in an Anglo- Saxon village? Come along this weekend as Acle Re-enactments take up residence in the replica village.  

Pre-booking is essential.

  • Admission Child (5-15): £4 
  • Admission Child (4years and Under): FREE 
  • Admission Concession: £4

Pre-booking required. All tickets allow you to pay once and return as many times as you would like during the 2021 season (March - December) for regular open days.
