The market is held in a traditional square with the eighteenth century old Town Hall at its heart.
It takes place just outside of The Word, with lots to see and do inside, including a fantastic shop packed full of lovely handcrafted items from the best crafts people from around the region. Please note The Word is currently only operating a library service.
Opening days and times
Markets are held every Friday and Saturday, with the addition of specialist arts and crafts markets held regularly throughout the year.
The Monday market is closed until further notice.
Fridays, 9.30am to 3pm - Flea market
The Friday flea market has its own special appeal to those who like to rummage through the curios, books, bric-a-brac and second hand bargains.
Saturdays, 9am to 4pm - Traditional market
The Saturday traditional market sells everything from plants, flowers, fruit and food to good quality clothing, toys, handbags and art works.
